Made for real family life

Our tools are meant to be practical, not overwhelming. The Back-to-Work Decision Lab helps you compare family financial scenarios without making the decision for you. Our birthday and family grocery planners offer editable quantity estimates, while the unit price calculator compares store prices you enter. None of these tools requires an email address.

Quick questions

Are the calculators free?

Yes. All four calculators and planners are free to use with no account or email sign-up required. The free first-year guide is offered separately through an optional email form.

Can I use the calculator on my phone?

Yes. All four tools are designed for mobile and desktop screens, whether you’re comparing work arrangements at home or checking a shopping list in the store.

Will the Back-to-Work Decision Lab tell me whether I should work?

No. It compares estimates based on the take-home pay, household expenses, work costs, and childcare arrangements you enter. The numbers are for planning and do not replace personalized financial, tax, or career advice. Your family’s priorities remain your own.

Are the suggested quantities exact?

No. Party quantities are estimates, not guarantees. Guest appetites, portions, recipes, and vendor sizes vary. Edit your results and confirm bakery or catering yields before ordering.

Does the family grocery planner know exactly what we need?

No. It offers adjustable starting estimates based on your household, shopping period, and selected items. Shopping habits and package sizes vary, and fresh food may need weekly replenishment even when you plan for a month.

Where do grocery prices come from?

You enter the shelf prices and coupons yourself. Only the Grocery Unit Price Calculator uses the shelf prices and coupons you enter. It compares the cost per ounce, fluid ounce, or item. Neither quantity planner estimates prices.
